Focus on At Your Service Concierge
by Amy Kimlat
It’s hard to imagine, but there was once a time my daughter had so few toys that I wondered when her toy shelf wouldn’t look quite so bare.
Ha!
Now she’s three-and-a-half with an almost-two-year-old sister. Four cumulative birthdays and Hanukkahs later, the situation had spiraled.
But with two toddlers, a business to run, and an upcoming move, getting organized felt like an impossible task, even for a reasonably organized person like me. Enter Julie Levitt Bain – personal assistant, professional organizer, and determined life-simplifier.
Through her company, At Your Service Concierge, Julie helps busy professionals and others who lack the time, interest, or expertise with life’s daily tasks. In my case, I very specifically lacked the time. Julie helped wrangle our toys and other kid-related products into a labeled, organized, easily packable stash.
Julie’s business was born of her own experience. For 18 years, Julie was a stay-at-home mom to her children, Brandon and Brooke. Like all parents, Julie experienced the constant juggle.
“There were so many times when I was pulled in two different directions, and then the A/C would break down,” Julie explains. “I always knew I wanted to start a business where someone else could wait for a repair person so the homeowner wouldn’t have to.”
For Julie, that spark of an idea expanded into her busy personal assisting and organizing enterprise.
“It’s still the same premise – helping people simplify their lives and giving them back the time that they work so hard for.”
The tasks Julie undertakes are as wide-ranging as her clients. On any given day, you might find Julie grocery shopping for a doctor, doing laundry for an attorney, paying bills for a senior, or, like in my family’s case, purging, packing, and unpacking for a move.
“While I often help my clients with totally different tasks, there’s one thing I give to each and every one of them – time.”
